Guwop made the decision to improve his health and kick some bad habits during his incarceration. He revealed in an interview with REVOLT that, following his arrest, he felt compelled to alter his way of life. After giving up alcohol and drugs, the living legend has since concentrated on abstaining from activities that could harm his body and keeps his long-term health in mind.

2. “Lemonade,” his iconic song, peaked at multiple Billboard charts.

“Lemonade” spent 12 weeks on the Hot 100 list and 20 weeks on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart in the publication in 2010. It also spent 17 and 10 weeks, respectively, on the Hot Rap Songs and Rhythmic charts. Think “Lemons on the chain with the V-cuts (Brrr!)” and La Flare’s ad-libs, and the song was playing in clubs, on the radio, and everywhere hip-hop fans posted at the time.

3. He’s made his big screen debut

Gucci Mane was a member of the renowned cast of the 2012 film Spring Breakers. The movie followed a group of college students who were trying to make extra money, according to the plot. In the process, they discovered that they were living a life of crime and were exposed to both thrilling and dangerous circumstances. The ATL icon portrayed Archie, the adversarial drug dealer and former friend of Alien, with whom the students embarked on their audacious quest for increased financial gain.

4. Gucci found out about Future

The trap icon, like many other groundbreaking musicians, made it a point to help up-and-coming artists. When Gucci Mane released the Free Bricks mixtape featuring the up-and-coming artist in the middle of the 2010s, Future realized that this was true. Gucci Mane clarified on “Big Facts” that following the release of their sequel, they fell out. 6. He and his wife Keyshia Ka’oir star in an insightful BET special.

Keyshia Ka’oir and Gucci Mane fell in love in 2010. Following his release from prison, the Grammy Award nominee formally proposed to his girlfriend during an Atlanta Hawks game in 2016. Subsequently, it was revealed that the recently engaged pair would document their engagement for a 10-part BET special called “Gucci Mane & Keyshia Ka’oir: The Mane Event.” The show captured all the highs and lows of the organizing process, from coming up with ideas to uniting their families.

Keitheon Davis, Gucci Mane’s first son with his former partner Sheena Davis, was born in 2007. 2020 saw the birth of Ice Davis, his first child with Ka’oir.
